United
States Air Force Technical Training Manual AFM 52-31

Two huge
and heavy
volumes, 589 pages, profusely illustrated.
For many
years this was "the bible" that trained thousands of men and women who
operated the Titan and Minuteman missile systems. (Unfortuately,
more modern versions remain highly classified.)
A thick,
heavy document that's comprehensive and complete,
covering every aspect of the guided missiles of the 1960s and 70s.
Provides both theory (with detailed examples) and practical information,
intended for hands-on USAF missile technicians, mechanics, engineers, and
scientists.

Fairly
heavy with the electronics circuits, devices, and processes of rockets
and missiles, especially controls, guidance, and instrumentation.
A complete education in the electronics of 1960s and 70s ICBMs!
Profusely
illustrated with hundreds of detailed tables and charts, drawings and photos,
graphs and diagrams, this Handbook is both highly educational and a "fun
read." It explores just about every
aspect of military operations with nuclear-armed ICBMs during the heat
of the Cold War. Full of esoteric and
hard-to-find data.
An exceptional
reference resource for the "amateur" rocket experimenter and builder of
model rockets.
Note:
Sample illustrations much smaller and at lower resolution than original!

From
aerodynamics through trajectories ...

This
huge book covers every detail related to rockets and missiles ...

Propulsion,
pumps, valves, controls, servos ... it's all here

The text
is heavily oriented to teaching the electronics and circuits of ICBM missiles

The book
has hundreds of illustrations,
some of which are in better condition than others. Since this is
a third-generation edition, many of the photos are less than clear and
sharp--but the information they convey is there. Don't expect illustrations
of the highest quality in terms of resolution, but each one has a wealth
of information that you can use.
Originally
published 1 July 1972 by the Air Training Command. This is a republished
edition, printed directly from a rare digital archive supplied to us by
the USAF. Not the highest quality to work from, but still a useful
edition of this important and hard-to-find reference resource. Legibility
in this edition varies from "good" to "not-so-good," even though it was
printed with a state-of-the-art laser printer on high-quality, acid-free
paper.
